Overview
The Rossport Marina has been in operation for many years and the current infrastructure has reached the end of its useful life. The marina is currently in the early stages of a redevelopment and revitalization initiative which is intended to improve and enhance the services that are available to boaters. Some services that were provided in the past are currently not available while other services are available on reduced basis.
It costs money to pay the operating expenses, compensate staff and generate sufficient surpluses to repair and improve the marina facilities.
The Rossport Marina relies on its users to pay for vessel launch services, transient docking and other services provided to boaters. Payment for services must be made via debit or credit card. Payment for services can be done by clicking the the appropriate links below. QR codes are also displayed at the marina office to enable boaters to pay for services.
Rossport Harbour Non-Profit Marina Inc. does not receive any funding from the Rossport Local Services Board, nor does it receive any funding from government or government agencies to fund the operating costs of the marina. The marina does share some of the operating costs with the Rossport Local Services Board for the marina's offices, for storage of fire fighting equipment for the Village of Rossport.
The Rossport Marina survives solely on the revenues generated from its operations. It does periodically receive some government grants related to marina infrastructure renewal and summer student employment grants.
